Obituary

Aaron Blakney, son of the late Leroy Blakney and the late Odessa Blakney was born on January 28, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on February 3, 2006 after a lengthy illness. ''Irvin'', as he was well known received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. Irvin worked various jobs during his life. Two of his many jobs was working as a chef and as a roofer. Irvin was a hustler; he did what he had to do to make a dollar. On June 17, 1972, Irvin was united in Holy Matrimony to Janet Wilson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and an infamous uncle. He shared a very strong and deep love for all of his siblings. Most of all he shared a very special love for his nurturing sistrer and best friend, ''Mary''. Mary's ability to be a sister, mother, and a friend led her to be his guardian Angel during his illness, Maryl never lift his side. The joys and pleasures of his life was spending time with his eldest daughter, Monica. Irvin also enjoyed taking very ling walks everwhere. He had the coolest walk, the ladies just loved it. Irvin was a lover. He never stayed in one place too long. He was well knon in the neighborhood as ''Unc''. His favorite words were ''I gotta take care of something''. Aaron leaves a strong legaacy and preciouas memories to be cherished by his daughters, Monica Blainey-Mercer, and Latonya Blakney. Four sisters: Magdalene Blakney-Scot, Mary, Betty henson, Nellie Hester, and Rhonda White; one brother, Joshua Blakney; one son-in-law, Camaro Mercer; four sister-in-laws, Gloria J. Blakney, Sharon Blue, Pauline Wilson, and Gloria Clemons of Rochester, NY; four brother-in-laws; Sidney Hester, Jerome Wilson, Randolph Wilson, and James Blue, six grandchildren; Malek redd, Mekhi Mercer, Jerone Davis, Juawan Davis, Jasmine Wyatt, and Victoria Jones. We would like to mention a dear friend, Martin and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Janet Blakney, Mother-in-law, Doris Wilson, father-in-law, charles Wilson, Jr.; one sister Minnie Gross and, one brother Angles Blakney; two sister-in-laws; Marion Wilson and Helen Smith, three brother-in-laws; William, Charles, and Robert Wilson.
