Acquanetta Scott Marshall, daughter of Laura Scott and the late Clarence Scott Jr., was born on August 8, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a lengthy illness she departed this life on May 31, 2008. ''Ackie,'' as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from Eastern High School and continued her studies at the College of Notre Dame where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Ackie later married the late Laird Marshall and from that union her son Damon was born. Ackie worked as a secretary for Grand Master Samuel T. Daniels at the Prince Hall Mason Masonic Temple on Eutaw Place for seven years. She then went on to work at several bus transportation companies with the B Allender Group being the last. Ackie was also a tax consultant and took on other business ventures throughout the years. Ackie loved to cook and would feed anyone who came through her door. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She would complete the New York Times Crossword Puzzle on a daily basis. She was a good listener and was always ready to give good advice and lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved playing board games and watching Jeopardy with her grandchildren, niece and nephews. Ackie was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Ackie will be sorely missed, especially by her family. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Damon; grandchildren, Alachea and Damon Jr.; mother, Laura; Sisters, Cynthia, Linda, Sandra; brother, Ronald; daughter-in-law, Angel; devoted friend, Vicki Favor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
