Adelaide S.
Rosebrough
July 25, 1952 – April 5, 2026
ADELAIDE SELINA ROSEBROUGH departed this life peacefully on April 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by love. Born to Essie Mae and Joseph Davis on July 25, 1952, Adelaide was the seventh of eleven children.
Adelaide married Kenneth Lamont Rosebrough in 1979, sharing 47 years together in the same family home where they exchanged their vows. Together, they created a life full of connection—traveling often, dancing hand in hand, and hosting unforgettable gatherings that brought people together. They were truly the life of the party, known for their vibrant spirit and love for celebration. Affectionately known as “Ms. Rose,” Adelaide was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and light to everyone she encountered.
Adelaide had an accomplished and respected career in healthcare, serving as a Phlebotomy Supervisor at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore Washington Medical Center, and later retiring from St. Agnes Hospital. She trained and mentored countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on those who followed in her footsteps. Known as the “one-stick queen,” she was admired for her skill, precision, and gentle care.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Adelaide was known for her radiant personality. She was friendly, welcoming, and effortlessly connected with people from all walks of life. She had a sassy, down-to- earth charm balanced by a deeply thoughtful and caring heart. She was a protector, a provider, and a constant source of sunshine to those who loved her.
Adelaide was preceded in death by her son, Christopher E. Wilson Jr.; her granddaughter, Jasmine Adams; and her brothers, Leonard Davis and Randolph Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband, Kenneth Rosebrough; daughters, Sharon Allen and ‘Tonya Rosebrough; siblings, Annette Davis, Emma Patterson, Kathleen Davis, Janice Davis, David Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Thomas Davis, and Isaac Davis; grandchildren, Cearia Johnson, Kiona Prater, Daquan Wilson, and Tearia Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Amiyiah Mack, Alexia Mack, Cori, and Tristin.
Adelaide leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and joyful memories that will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
