Obituary

Agnes Magdalene Dupree, was born on May 17, 1948, in Durham, North Carolina to Howard and Nannie King. She departed this life on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the BonSecours Hospital. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Agnes moved to Baltimore at the age of four years old. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools. Agnes'career was in the culinary field, and she was a great cook. She was the mother of five children. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She loved to dress well and feel good about herself. Her hats, shoes and purses always had to match. She had many friends and was a women of many hats, all different shapes and colors. Agnes' acknowledgement of Christ began in Trinity Baptist Church at an early age. In Novembe3r, 1998, she joined Divine Mission Apostolic Church, Inc. under the ministry of Bishop George T. Cuffia. She loved Sunday school and attended faithfully until her health failed. She was on the Mothers' Board and loved to worship and praise God. She was a woman of very strong faith from the beginning of her salvation to the end. Agnes bore her cross well, and even during her periods of illness her faith increased. She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Dana, Pamela and Janetta; father and mother, Howard and Nannie King; three sisters, Carolyn Pye, Catonia King, Kimberly King she was prceeded in death by Deborah King and Emmareather King; one brother, Lamont King; five grandchildren, Toshia, Gerald, Jawana, Antoshia and John; one great-grandchild, Jarvis; one niece, four nephew; one goddaughter, Helen Willis; and a host of relatives, friends and church family.
