Obituary

Agnes Haskins Evans, peacefully departed this lif on February 11, 2015. Agnes, the first of two children, was born to Cleveland and Louise Haskins on April 16, 1931, in Charlotte County, Virginia. Along with her loving brother, Cleveland Jr. (Trabby), Agnes moved to Montclair, New Jersey while their parents began a business and established a home in Maryland. After moving to Maryland Agnes attended W.H. Bates High School and later was enrolled at Cortez Peters School of Business. Among several places of employment Agnes served as clerical assistant to the Haskins' family pastor, the late Arthur J. Payne, Enon Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. Agnes also worked for her father, Cleveland, a very successful entrepreneur. Personally, Agnes enjoyed reading, caring for the beautiful flowers in her garden and spending time with family. She loved her brother and together they spent many happy moments in the backyard of their parents' home. In particular, visiting relatives were always entertained with won- derful food, humor and smooth jazz. In the Haskins's backyard family and friends gathered to enjoy delicious meals prepared by Agnes' mother, lovingly called, Lu Lu. Later caring for Lu Lu until her passing, Agnes shared many family memories with her children and grandchildren. Hav- ing a passion for beautiful things, she also enjoyed a good laugh and French butter cookies that could only be found by her granddaughter Kimberly. Agnes entered into marriage with the late Laurence Hines and later married Tracy Evans to whom she remained in loving partnership until his passing. Agnes will forever be missed by her daughters, Angela Mathews, Lori Wynn (Walter) and son Jeffrey Hines. Also left to mourn are 6 grandchil- dren, 6 great grandchildren, loving sister-in-law, Laura Haskins, nieces, cousins and friends. Viewing Joseph H.
