Obituary

ALBERT R. CHRISTIAN SR., son of the late Thomas and Geneva Christian. He was born on March 31, 1941 in Bronx, New York. He departed this life on February 14, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He received his education at Carver Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore City, Maryland. He then met the love of his life, Barbara Christian in the late 1950s. Albert was known for the way he dressed and liked to sing. He also tailored clothes for the guys in the neighborhood. Albert always kept a smile on his face and made people happy. He also was a lady's man. In his early twenties he received his first employment at Cloverland Dairy as a Pasteurizer. Following his first employment Albert became a worker for the Longshoreman's Steamship Trade for thirty-two years. He married Mrs. Barbara Christian in 1963 and out of this union one child was born, Ronald Christian. Albert made numerous friends wherever he went and he will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was always a true friend. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Barbara Christian; two sons, Albert R. Christian Jr. and Ronald Christian; one daughter-in-law, Valerie Christian; two brothers, George and Carl Christian brothers, Jerry Christian and Thomas Christian Jr. preceded him in death; eight grandchildren, Veronica, Tameka, Shanae, Cameron and Robert Christian, Tiffany Milton, Shawnquin and Shantrice Woodland; eight-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; one devoted friend, Sterling a.k.a. "Sharp Shorty," and a host of other relatives and friends.
