Obituary

ALEATHA STEVENSON, daughter of lthe late Williams Lorenzo Stevenson and Corine Garrett Stevenson, was born on December 23, 1946 at the residence of 8037 Solley Road. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Aleatha was the thirteenth born of fourteen siblings of which twelve preceded her in death. She attended Freetown Elementary School, Marley Junior High School, George Fox and Severna Park High Schools. She attended Bowie State College where she received her B.S. Degree in elementary education. She taught at Jacobsville Elementary School, grade third and fourth for thirty years. At an early age she joined Bennett little Starlights and the youth group sponsored by Yvonne Fisher under the pastorship of Reverend Dixon. She answered the invitation and joined Hall United Methodist Church. During her membership she served as a faithful member of the United Methodist Women Organization. Aleatha was affectionately known as "TYwin" and Ninny"" by all who knew her, She was known by many for her flare for fashion, modeling with the Bates High School Modeling Company, and her signature red lipstick. Ninny had very good communication skills, was a constant support for her familyu and spearheaded many family events. Ninny leaves to mourn: her son, Carlos Maurice Pearmon, Jr.Tatum; five grandchildren, Brianna, Deja, Carlos III, Madyson and Am, one;brother, Claymon Stevenson, Sr. four sisters-in-law, Barbara, Susie, Jeannette and Mary Lee; brother-in-law, Robert Smith; and adoptive sister, Sylvia Bouyer; special niece, Jonelle Kennedy; two special nieces that she raised as daughters, Pamela White and Coullette Collins; special care-givers, Ophelia Matthews, Sheri Ann Jones and Diane Brown: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones, Ninny also leaves behind a special friends, Clifford Riles and George Cuffy.
