Alex Wanganju Njuguna was born on 8th October 1979. His parents were Mr. Charles Njuguna Theuri and Mrs. Rose Njeri Njuguna. He was the third born in a family of four children; Susan Wambui, Stephenson Theuri and Alice Wangui. He was baptized on 25th December 1979. He joined Wanji and Kim in 1984 for his Nursery education, and in 1986 he joined Visa Oshwal Academy Westlands for his Primary education where he did his KCPE exams in 1993. In January 1994 he joined St. Mary's High School and later jioned Nairobi Academy where he studied until 1996 and sat for O-Level IGCSE in June. In September 1996 he joined Braeburn for his A-Levels and sat for his exams in 1998. In August 1998 he left Kenya for the United States of American to further his education, where he joined University of Maryland Baltimore County UMBC to study for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. However, he was not able to complete his university education for financial reasons. He was employed in Baltimore until August of 2008. In September of 2008 he opened his own business in which he was selling cell phones and cell phones accessories. His new business was very successful, and operated it until he met his death.
