Obituary

Alexander Stevenson, Sr., son of the late William T. Sr., and Isabelle Stevenson, was born April 26, 1963 in Baltimore, MD. He departed his life on April 7, 2006 after a lengthy illness. He attended Northwestern High School in Baltimore. He worked as a cook and a security guard, before his lengthy illness. Also known to many as ''Zan'', he was a friendly and kind person; willing to open his door to anyone who needed help. Even through his illness, Zan always found a way to bring laughter in the room. He had a special bond with his late brother William T. Stevenson, Jr. On October 14, 1986, he married Lola Angus, and from this union, three children were born: Alexander Jr., Zanett A., and Terry L. Stevenson. In May of 2001, he was ordained as Deacon at the Divine Deliverance Apostolic Faith Church, under the leadership of Pastor Sadie Clayborn. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Lola Stevenson; his three children, that he loved and cherished very much, Zanett, Terry, and Alexander Jr.; two sisters, MonaLisa Dukes of South Carolina and Linda Stevenson of Baltimore, MD; one aunt , Evelyn Baily; two uncles, Eddie and Gene Stevenson , who was like a father to him; and one great aunt, Evelyn Bailey; two uncles, Eddie and Gene Stevenson,who was like a father to him; and one great aunt, Martha Britton of Baltimore, Md.; one father-in-law, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Zan had a special bond with Denise Bailey, known as ''Sister'', Ruby Mitchell known as ''Alberta'', and Kent Boyd known as ''Muzzy''.
