IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice L.
Ford
March 2, 1937 – December 11, 2016
Alice Legray Ford was born on March 2, 1937 to the late Robert Bellamy and Mamie Iola Bellamy in Whiteville, North Carolina. She was their 4th child of 11.
Alice was a graduate of Artesia High School in Hallsboro, North Carolina. Shortly after graduation, Alice moved up North and settled in Baltimore, Maryland where she met the love of her life, the late William Ford, Sf. They married and from their union, their son, Ian B. Ford was born.
Alice was full of life. She loved to cook, eat and teach, but her special knack in life was caring for others, especially her family for whom she loved with all her heart. She dedicated her special talents to working with kids, in particular, those with special needs. She retired from the Baltimore City School System with more than 30 years of service in 1999.
Alice leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories, her son Ian (Bill); granddaughter, Jasmine, great grandson as she affectionately called him, Jo-Jo (Jahmere); sisters, Gloria Boone, Gaytana Bellamy, Wendy Baldwin, Wanda Pierce and Shirley Fowler; brothers, Avant Bellamy, Douglas Bellamy and McArthur Howard; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen, Martha and Jean; nieces and nephews and not to forget "The Friends"; goddaughter, Kristi, and a host of family and friends. Alice had three siblings to precede her death, Anedia, Bobbie and Jack.
