Alice Marie Fulton, was born on November
3,
1940 in
Warren, North Carolina to Howard and Lillie Allen. On
January
14,
2019 she shed her Earthly robe of flesh
and went home to be with her Lord.
Alice Marie, lovingly known to her family and friends as
"
Rie
",
was educated in the Baltimore City Public School
System. She later graduated from the Baltimore Culinary
Institute and accepted a position as the Head Chef at the
Pier
1
Restaurant at the Inner Harbor.
In October of
1975,
Rie was married to Thomas Fulton and
they joined St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of
Rev. George A. Crawley
.
In
1988,
Tom and Rie joined her
sister Jessie and her husband Rev.
Dr. K.
C.
Wilks in
organizing First John Tabernacle Baptist Church
where she served as an Usher, Missionary, Deaconess,
Courtesy Guild member and President of the Culinary Ministry.
Rie was a loving person who
e
njoyed helping others including
friends and family
.
As a Foster Parent in Baltimore City,
she opened her home and her heart to
36
children. Her
love for cooking inspired her along with her sisters and close
friend to start the Rhapsody Blue Social Society where they
catered many Birthdays and other special occasions.
Rie was preceded in death by; her mother, Lilli
e
Allen;
her father, Howard Allen; her husband, Thomas Fulton;
and her son, Anthony Donnell Johnson.
Rie leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Gary
Johnson, Timothy Johnson (Robbin), Adreanne Fulton,
Nathaniel Eugene Fulton, Destiny Harper(Matthew)
