Alizata Belemsaga (Sorgho) was born in Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso on July 11, 1961 to parents Larba Hamidou Belemsaga & Pananba Ouedraogo. She grew up in the village of Tenkodogo as a part of the Bissa tribe. She arrived in the United States in 1982.
After spending 2 years in Washington, DC, She spent the rest of her life in the Baltimore County area. She worked as a Housekeeper for Phoebe and Edgar Berman for approximately 15 years. After the passing of Mrs. Berman, she then worked for Ms. Heidi Heine, the Feingolds, and Dr Brandon.
Alizata was a woman of faith, and a devout Christian. She was a member of St. Cecelia's Catholic church until she ultimately joined Baltimore Christian Faith Center. She loved to garden and care for her plants. She was also a great cook, and prepared large meals for holidays and birthdays for her family and close friends. She loved God, and she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her.
She is survived by her siblings Aminata, Salamata, Fatimata, and Issa. Her children, Felix (Jazmin), Clement, and Nadine, and four grandchildren Cameron, Gabriel, Arya, and Mateo, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
