Allen Durant Gilbert, Son of Jervel Gilbert and Anthony Midgett was born on June 26, 1980 in Baltimore, MD. He departed his earthly life on June 21, 2015. Allen received Jesus Christ at an early age and accepted him as His own personal Savior.. Allen received his education in the Baltimore City public school system Allen affectionately known as "WINK" was a very ambitious Man that held a variety of jobs including cutting hair and driving. His main interest was Culinary. He could turn a boring meal into a "Chef's Delight". His close friends and family referred to him as the "Gourmet Chef of the Ghetto" Wink's personality was infectious. He had a big caring heart and a wonderful child like sense of humor. He was such a gentle soul and was always respectful, mindful and sensitive to the needs of others. Wink was a trendsetter and had his own unique color coordinated style from head to toe. He was indeed admired by the "Ladies". Wink truly loved his family and held a special place in his heart for Melinda, his baby Sister. His dedication to his Family was undeniable. He made sure that you knew he loved you by that signature hug that was literally breath taking.
