Allen Leon Moody departed this life and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William and Isabell Moody on February 18, 1935. He was the forth child of fourteen sibling. Allen received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System; After working as a butcher in the Supermarket in the Pimlico area for several years Allen moved to Washington, D.C. and went to work for the Federal Government until his retirement. He then worked for the the Department Of Public Works Walter in Washington, D.C. Allen was a very kind and a happy-go-lucky person to everyone that knew him. Most of his adult life was spent in Washington, D.C. He spent a lot of time with his cousin Rowland in Capital Heights, Md. they were very close and enjoyed watching football, basketball and other sports together. He leaves to cherish his memory; five sisters, Doris Moody, Mabel Westley, Barbara Jackson, Audrey Moody of Baltimore, Md. and Deborah Thompson of Sumerton SC.; three brothers, Roosevelt, Paris and Stanley Moody of Baltimore, Md; nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins; two uncles, Stephens Anderson of Arnold, Md. and Edgar Anderson of Washington, D.C.; and friends. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, William, Melvin, Herbert and Harold Moody.
