Obituary

Alma Jeanne Walker the daughter of the late William and Daisy Brown.
Alma had five sisters, Sandra, Dessie, Florence, Elaine and Letitia and
seven brothers, Artis, Wallace, Franklin, Samuel, Alfonso, Willis and
David who preceded her in passing.

She received her education at Dunbar High School in Fairmont, West
Virginia. She graduated May 29, 1953. Alma joined Morning Star
Baptist Church in 1953. She also sang on the choir and attended Sunday
School.

She met and married Frank H. Walker (54 years). From this union there
was one daughter, Karen Walker.

Alma enjoyed her life, she loved to travel, going on cruises, listening to
music, dancing and partying with family and friends. She loved spending
time with her grandson and her great granddaughter. She loved
them very much.

Alma worked for Church Hospital for 20 years, then later she worked
for Mercy Hospital for 12 years, she retired and worked 17 years at
Knights Laundromat until February 2016.

Alma knew the Lord as her personal Savior. She leaves to mourn her
death: one daughter, Karen Walker; grandson, Deonta Edmonds; two
great granddaughters; brother, Johnnie Mack Brown of Atlanta, GA;
four sisters-in-law, Vendetta, Winnie, Mattie, and Rosetta Brown of
Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law, Howard Westerfield of Ohio; devoted
nephew, Roland Powell Sr.; devoted niece, Sharon Edwards and a host
