Alphonso "Al" White, known as "AW" to his family, was born on October 14,1953. OnJune 14,2014, the Lord called him home to eternal rest. Al was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the Late Alphonso Sr. & Sarah E. White. Al attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He worked for the Baltimore Housing Authority for 35 years, starting off in the Weatheri- zation Program, later retiring as a Housing Inspector for Section 8. As a child, Al always had the dream of being an entrepreneur, creating businesses and opening 2 stores. Family time and holidays were most important to him as his family knew "Uncle W"was going to make sure that everyone was cared for. During his life's journey, Al served the Lord with gladness and was a proud member ofJohn Wesley UM. Church. He served as the Chair- person of The Board of Trustees, member of the Steward Board, United Methodist Men, Endowment Committee, Security Board, was a class leader, he was the founder of the Soup Kitchen, and the Hall of Fame, and was an all-around Handy Man. Al married the love of his life, Carol Swann on September 5, 1992 and two families intertwined with love. Al leaves his wife, Carol, his daughter Rashita McDonald (Mack), Alphonso III, 3 grandchildren, Marquis, Kienna & Alphonso IV; siblings, Delores Williams (Reginald), Gloria Harris,Jeanette Dent (Major), Rosa White, Tyrone(Sheila), Ronnie and Celestine Clark (Ernest).
