Mr. Alphonso Keels, sonofthe LateSamuelKeels Sr. and Surviving Mrs. Alice McClean Keels,was born onDecember29, 1949in Baltimore, North Carolina. After a recent illness, he was called from labor to rewardonSaturday June 6, 2020.

Alphonso loved listening to music and playing cards, checkers and chess. He could always be found watching his favorite TV shows Star Trek and Mash.

Alphonso lived in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Patapsco Elementary School, Cherry Hill JuniorHighSchool and graduated as the class valedictorian from Baltimore City College in1968. Heserved in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. He served as a reservist until1976.He worked many jobs and his last and favorite being the Coca ColaCompany.

Alphonso did not have any childrenofhis own. He was loved by allof his nieces, nephews and all the neighborhood kids. Alphonso met his best friend and girlfriend Karen Terry in 2002 and they remained in love until his home-going.

Alphonso was a very intelligent man. He would always challenge all the young people in his life with mathematics problem.ofstrength and character. He was employed as a HVAC Technician at Toe Time Group until his illness. Before his employment at The Time Group, he wasemployed at Foxwell Memorial Garden for sixteen years. He was a great provider for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his girlfriendofeighteen years, Karen; his siblings, Theresa Gwynn, Charles Keels, Michele Keels-York and Penelope Keels-Chewning; his sister Sarrie Keels, brothers Samuel Keels Jr. and Anthony Keels preceded him in death; four nieces- Sharon, Tia, Darcell and Erica; nine nephews- Andre, Gary, Authur, Darod, Mark, Tavon, Michael, Blair and Marcus; his stepchildren and a hostofother relatives and friends.
