Obituary

Althea Marie Hall was born on March 25, 1964 in Baltimore, MD to Barbara Eloise Hall and the late Boyd William Hall. The fifth child from this union, she entered eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2014. Althea received her education in the Baltimore City Public School system, and graduated [rem. Woodlawn Senior High School where she exhibited her athletic ability by running track. Another arena for expressing or exhibiting her "somebody-ness", confidence and potential, was her 9-month experience in the United States Army Reserve. Her positive disposition of character was also displayed through her employment with Pizza Boli's, Meals on Wheels, and as a clerkfor Social Services. Althea cultivated a strong sense of family and family values. She was a devoted mother and possessed a profound love for her children. One of her greatest fulfillments was riding the bus with her youngest son, Chase. She enjoyed sharing family gatherings and events, and of course these occasions would not be complete without Althea's amazing and tantalizing "Macaroni Salad. " In addition, dancing, singing, playing cards, eating crabs, and of course, cooking, was among her hobbies. Her favorite TV show was "Lou: and Order." Despite life's challenges, Althea lived a joyous, happy and rewarding life. However, her life was beginning to change. God's ultimate plan for her life was being fulfilled. At the end of 2011, she was diagnosed with Stage Wbreast cancer. Prior to this time, she had listened to her sister, Linda loly, witness to her on numerous occasions concerning God's plan and salvation. Early in 2012, Althea's acceptance of Christ as her personal savior awarded her a B.A.D. ("Born Again Degree"). Her newly found belief and faith enabled her to courageously face each day, whether good or bad, with renewed hope. She realized her amazing strength was God-motivated and that He had designed her life with a specific purpose. She entrusted herself to God's loving care and developed a deep peace and contentment in accepting His willfor her life. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Never one to give up, Althea persevered to make a better life for herself and her children. She enrolled in the Metropolitan Baltimore Quadel Program - a program designed to provide counseling and assistance with specific guidelines for purchasing homes. She purposed with unfaltering zeal, in spite of the cancer, to complete this program, and did so uiithout. missing an appointment. Experiencing the presence of God in her life, and exercising her faith, enabled Althea to live triumphantly through her circumstances. Her ability to maintain a sense of humor was a testament to her being ordinary and allowing God to do the extraordinary. Althea's purposeful and loving life will remain in the hearts of her daughter, Cierra Hall; four stms, Antuan and Daevuan Banks (father, Antuan Banks, Sr., deceased), Donte Wallace (father, Daryl), and Chase Lee (father, Steven); four grandchildren, Destiny, Zaniya, Antuan III and julian; her mother, Barbara Eloise Hall; one brother, Gregory W.
