On February 17, 1947 Mozella received a gift from God, Alvin and Calvin, his twin. On March 19, 2012, Alvin quietly left this world to be forever kept in the arms of his loving Savior. At an early age under the guidance of his mother he began his Christian walk at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. S.A. Thompson. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Alvin loved to dance and keep you laughing. He had a great love for children. He would spend his whole check taking them to the store. His greatest love was his mother, Mozella; daughter Tiffany; grandmother, Maggie; aunt, Martha; his late son, Roderick who preceded him in death. Alvin was employed in the Housekeeping Department at the University Of Maryland Hospital, later at Davidson Chemical. In June of 2009 he retired from Charlestown Retirement Community. He leaves to cherish his loving memory; brothers, his twin, Calvin and General Jr.; sisters, Margaret and Marvina; sister-in-law, Bernie; brother-in-law, Alex; daughter, Tiffany; son-in-law, Johnny; stepson, Curtis Monroe; six grandchildren; aunts, Martha and Sadie; grandmother, Sarah; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; ex-wife, Lorretta; companion, Lorraine; a host of other relatives and friends, including best friend and cousin, Louis Carolina; and a loving friend, Carol.
