Anderson "Jerry" Crenshaw II,
son of the late Anderson Crenshaw and Ida Mae Brown was born
July 10, 1950 in Shelby, North Carolina and was later blessed with mother Mallie Montgomery who raised him in Baltimore City. He attended Baltimore City public schools and was a graduate of Frederick Douglass High before serving in the United States Army. Jerry was
a gifted artist and a graduate of the Professional Institute of Commercial Art. He retired in 2010 after
29 years of service in the field of psychiatry and pharmaceuticals with the University of MD
Research Center and Springfield Hospital. Jerry was most known for his basketball prowess from being a high school all-star, semi-pro basketball player, and
as a local fan favorite at Cloverdale and other
regional basketball leagues.
Protector, basketball superstar, defender, provider, confidante, counselor, artist, philosopher, martial artist, friend, father, brother, husband, and son lead a list of many roles and attributes that Jerry fulfilled in the lives of a multitude of family, friends, and admirers. Through the seasons of his 68 years, Jerry shared his heart
in matrimony with three special women in this order: Luvenia Crenshaw, Lydia Crenshaw, and Hope Crenshaw. Each comforted and supported Jerry through his life's peaks and valleys. From his unions, Jerry was blessed with several children and step-children to
include Anderson Crenshaw III, LaShawnda Crenshaw, Jerlene Stokes, Kalife Crenshaw, Antoinette Thompson, Albert Peyton and Tia Peyton. Jerry's team of children have blessed him with a generation of grandchildren: Anderson IV, Allante, Amaunte, Cori, Kalife Jr., NaShae, Tyrique, Kaiya, Nyesha, Kayla, Tayon, Kaleah,
Ian, Kamal, Amari, Sky, Christian, Michael, Amaya Aaliyah and greatgrandchildren Brielle, and Ashton.
Jerry officially departed this physical life Tuesday,
July 17, 2018 quietly in his home in Northwest Baltimore. He is also survived by
his 6 siblings Billy, Edward, Ernest, Carolyn, Doris, Zinah, Sandra
