IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andre
Dargan
October 28, 1967 – March 6, 2021
Andre Robert Dargan, the beloved son of Robert Dargan and the late Michelle Dargan, was born on October 28, 1967, in Ft. Meade, Maryland. He was educated in the public school system of Baltimore City.
On April 19, 2003, Andre married the love of his life, Miss Anna Verbus. God blessed their union with a son they named D'Andre Michael, and a daughter, D'Anna Shanelle. God continued to shower His blessing upon them and on October 5, 2021, they became the proud grandparents of a baby girl, Skyler Starr.
Andre worked various jobs throughout his career, but nothing excited him more than graduating from North American Trade School on June 18, 2009, where he learned to drive trucks, and obtained his Commercial Driver License (CDL). This afforded him the opportunity to do what he really loved, driving trucks all around Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia, until his health began to fail in 2016.
Andre had a jovial personality, always had a smile on his face, and always ready to harass a family member; he loved spending time with his family and friends. He looked forward to attending and cheering for his children at their baseball, football, and basketball games. Many summers he would go to the beach with his family, including his father and mother-in-law; they loved Andre as if he was their own son. Andre enjoyed family gatherings at his grandparents' house on Chelsea Terrace. Whenever there was a gathering at his grandparents' house, we all knew we were going to see a boxing or wrestling match between him and one of his uncles. He might have been small in stature, but he would take a whipping and come back for more, until his grandmother would make his uncles leave him alone; then he would turn around look at them, make a face, and laugh; he was definitely a prankster. He enjoyed listening to music on his phone; some of his favorites were the "Oldies" from back in the day, The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, and Gospel. Andre had a beautiful voice, but he had no rhythm when it came to dancing.
In July of 2020, Andre rededicated his life to Christ, and was baptized a second time; this time his son, D'Andre had the honor and privilege to conduct. He attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint. Each morning he woke with a prayer on his lips and went to bed at night in the same manner.
On Saturday, March 6, 2021, God in his infinite wisdom took Andre's hand and welcomed him into his new home; where there is no more sickness and pain, and his weary soul will be at rest.
The memory of Andre will live forever in the hearts and minds of: his wife, Anna Dargan, one son, D'Andre Michael Dargan; one daughter, D'Anna Shanelle Dargan; one grand-daughter, Skylar Starr Dargan; two sisters, Veronica (Kevin) Mitchell, and Deona Dargan (Proceeded him in death); four aunts, Lillian Hargrove, Joan (Dwight) West, Lynette Ferguson, and Nellie McDonald; four uncles, Wilbert McDonald, Harold Dargan, Kevin (Sheila) Dargan, Eugene (Tia) Parke, and Stanley Smith; two Sister-in-laws, Bonnie (Jerrie) Lynskey, and Rose Kapaalski; four nieces; six nephews; a host of loving cousins, and friends.
