Obituary

Andre Tyrone Myers, Sr., was born to the late William John Myers and Irene McArthur Myers, Butler, on March 4, 1959 in Baltimore, Mdaryland. Andre departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 due to a lengthy illness. Andre was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was employed with Doxee food, Inc. as a Packer from 1978 to 1984. He then started working for continental Foods, Inc. From 1984-2005 as a fork Lift Driver. On July 24, 1982, andre married the love of his life and his childhood sweetheart, Deborah Ann robinosn. Out of their union, they were blessed by God with two sons, andre Tyrone Myers Jr., and Tavon Derrell Myers. Andre was a spirial man. He joined the Manor Bible Baptist church where he worshipped and served the Lord. He and his wife were baptized at Manor Bible Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Joseph Brown. Andre was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He had a close knit relationship with his grandchildren India, Tavon Jr., and Tyler, who lovingly called him "Pop-Pop." He enjoyed going to amusement parks with them. He and his wife Deborah loved to travel. they visited many exciting places like Canada, The Poconos in New Jersy, Myrtle Beach, North caolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada. At every travel location they visited you could always find Anfre anxiously looking for the ocean or a pool to satisfy hisdesire to go swimming. He was also very well known for his big heart and warm smile. He had many friends that adored him. He loves all kinds of sports especially baskeball and swimming. Andre and his best buddy and main man, Ronald Frederick Bay-Bay, met together practically every day, at their favorite place known as Park Pool. Andre was a sociable person and well liked by all who knew him, and he was affectionately as "the life of the party." We will miss his lively spirit and kind heart which were a blessing to all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving and devoted wife, Deborah; his loving sons, Andre Jr., and Tavon Myers; his mother, Irene McArthur; three grandchildren, India, Tavon, Jr., and Tyler; one brother, Calvin Butler; four sisters, Diane Phair, Romana Edwards, Wilnet Avance, and Sharon Knox; two aunts, Margie Michaux and Betty Powers; two uncle, Waverly Michaux and Stanley Michaux; four-brothers-in-law, Gene Phair, Andre Edwards, Tyrone Knox and Anthony Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Butler and Susan Robinson; two daughters-in-law, Petra and Toccara Myers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
