Andrea Lynette Rodgers (Jones) returned home to her Lord

and Savior on February 12th 2020. She was born on June

18th 1960 to the late Lois Poteat- Jones and Eolis H Jones.

Andrea grew to love the Lord at an early age while attending

Progressive First Baptist church. Andrea graduated from

Woodlawn High School in 1978, and went on to attend

Bowie State College where she graduated with a degree in

Social Work. Andrea loved her time at Bowie and said it

was a wonderful experience.

Andrea then worked for the Department of Social Services

for two years while simultaneously working for Bares health

care. She then went to work for the Department of Parole

and Probation before she retired. Andrea married Derrick

Rodgers in 1997. Andrea had a quiet demeanor and laid

back personality, she liked to be around people especially

family where she could laugh and smile.

Andrea in her spare time enjoyed crossword puzzles, game

shows, and sports but her favorite thing to do was read,

newspaper or novel didn't matter. She also enjoyed hanging

out and traveling with her sister in law Ann to casinos,

shopping, and eating. She loved and cherished her only son

Keith Buck Sr. and her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory husband Derrick, her only

son Keith his wife Britney, her grandchildren Keith Jr (KJ),

Kennedi, and Kali, a devoted brother Lamont, sister in love

Monique, a father in law James Rodgers his wife Francine,

four sister in laws Ann, Renee, Lisa, Britt, two brother in

laws Jeffery, Desmond, one uncle Donald Jones and wife

Veronica Jones, one nephew Lamont Jr, along with a host of

relatives and friends.
