Andrew Michael Speddon, son of Hilda Spedden-Minor and James Porter, was born on March 17, 1951. He departed this life on February 10, 2011. "Michael" as he was affectionately known by may, received his education in the Baltimore City School System. His first child, Michael Cottinghamm, was born to Shirley Foreman in 1971. He married Barbara Dennis and from this union a child, Latanya Spedden, was born. Michael was a dedicated stepfather to John and Kevin Burham. Michael and Barbara stayed married until the time of his death. Michael was well liked in the community and was a friend to all who knew him. Michaael was a comedian at times and said whatever was on his mind. It can be said that Michael lived life to the fullest. Michael was a devoted son, husband and father. He will be sorely missed by all he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his sister vivian H. Brown and brother charles Washington. Michael leaves to mourn; his mother, Hilda Spedden-Minor; father James Porter; wilfe Barbara Spedden; daughters Michele Spedden and Latonya Spedden, sons, Michael Cottingham, Kevin Burham and John Burham; daughter-in-law, Karen Cottingham; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. He also leaves his favorite cousins, Barbara Johnson and Gloria Merritt; his best friend, Tony Bias; and a host of other relatives and friends.
