Obituary

ANGELA ANITA WELLS, was born on July 20, 1960 in Baltimore,
Maryland to the late Reverend Jacob Wells Sr. and Mamie Ruth Wells.
Angela entered eternal rest on March 25, 2016 after a lengthy battle with
cancer.

Angela (affectionately known as Angie) was the second of five children.
She received her formal education from the Baltimore City Public School
System and graduated from Forest Park Senior High as a proud member
of the Class of 1978.

Angie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age. In
the late 1990's she joined Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church and
worshipped there until her illness prevented. She was a woman of great
faith and gained much comfort in listening to gospel music.

Angie was a hard worker and demonstrated a strong work ethic. She
began her career at USA Today newspaper working diligently as a member
of the news staff for over fourteen years. Later, she began a second career
with the Maryland State Police Department where she worked and used
her gift of gab as a police communications officer for over 10 years.

For Angie, family was always first. She enjoyed nothing more than
spending time with her granddaughter, nephews and nieces. To say
she loved them is an understatement. She went the extra mile for her
family which was exemplified by her care and love for her father during
his illness. She was a true friend and always supported her loved ones.

Angie was a gifted artist and enjoyed painting as well as drawing. She
was an avid collector of angels who loved laughing with friends and
taking pictures. She had style and a flair for fashion, but nothing pleased
her more than a dozen Maryland blue crabs.

She was a very strong willed and independent woman. As a survivor
of both breast and ovarian cancer, Angie was active with the Susan G.
Komen Foundation, Race for the Cure, and the GBMC Overcomer group.
While battling her illness she never lost sight of the needs of others and
could often be found praying for and encouraging patients. As a three
time cancer survivor, Angie was a fighter who never quit. She faced each
diagnosis, report, and test with courage and zeal for life. In her final days
she expressed her desire to "ride this life until the wheels fall off".

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Shakeya Currie Foreman,
Esq.: son-in-Iove, Tyree Foreman; granddaughter, Cassidy Grace Foreman;
her mother; Mamie Ruth Wells; four siblings, Mary Thomas (Theodore),
Jacob Wells [r., Marvin Wells, and Renee Wells; two uncles, James Sabb
and Samuel Wells of Summerton S.c.; one aunt, Beulah Hamilton of
Summerton, S.c.; a special companion, Charles Andre Harris; four
nieces, Keeaira, Monique, Shacondra, and Jasmine Wells; three nephews
Rico Thomas Sr., Tavon Wells, and Kai Leviner; three great nephews,
Rico Thomas [r., Isaiah Wells, Sean Fields [r., and a host of relatives and
friends.

She is finally at peace in the arms of God. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home Wednesday, March 30, 2016 03:30 PM - 08:00 PM Email Details 2140 N. Fulton Ave
