Anita Victoria Cook was born Febuary 7, 1952 to Henrietta and the late Richard McCants Sr. She was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools and attended Saint Francis Catholic Church. Anita married the late Aundrey Julius Cook in December of 1967 and later became employed at the Social Security Administration for many years. Nita was full of life, some of her hobbies were taking care of others, loving her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, playing cards and planning trips for the community. She was preceded in death by her husband Aundrey Cook, her father Richard McCants Sr., her son -in-law Mitchell Hargis, her nephew Rodney McCants Jr. and her two grandchildren Ga'Nyia and Gary Forbes III. Nita leaves to mourn her mother Henritta McCants, her four children Shannell Hargis, Belinda Blackwell, Latarsha Lee and Ashley Pope, one granddaughter Natarsha King, two grandsons Graig Lee and Dytrell Hair, three sisters Evelyn Thomas, Phyllis McCants and Mary Rantin, one son-in-law Antoine Lee, two nieces Joy and Danielle, ten nephews Orlando, Marion, Darius, Dartagnan, Darnerien, Keith, Chris, David Jr., and Keon, three niece-in-laws Desiree, Niccole and Jeanette, three godchildren Myear and Trinity, her best friend Tammy Ford. A devoted friend and a host of relatives and friends.
