Obituary

Anna Kelly was born on August 19, 1918 to the late Purnell and Mary Kelly in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of fourteen years old, she was baptized at Mount Moriah Baptist Church when it was located in South Baltimore. Anna completed her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She then went to New York to enter employment with her oldest sister, Anna returned to Baltimore and continued working various jobs. Anna's home was a place where family and friends would gather for excellent meals and friendship, the only home in our large family that the door was always open to all. On July 14, 1968 Anna was united in marriage to Mr. Glasco Brockington, and it continued to be a home of peace and warth. Mr. Brockington passed away on Msrch 28, 1990. Anna leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Glasscho; one son, Mr. Preston Wise; two sons-in-law, Mr. William Harrell and Mr. Everett Glasscho; a devoted and caring granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. Janie Hughes; a loveing and dedicated goddaughter, Mrs. Carolyn Foster; twenty-two grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. she also leaves two best friends, Maggie Brown an Louise Edwards. Five of her children preceded her in death, they were; Baby Boy Bunty Wise, Vernice MeDonald, Hedy Wise, Gary Wise Sr. andSheila Harrell. also preceding her in death are four brothers, three sisters and one devoted sister-in-law.
