IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna
Cromwell
July 7, 1958 – April 5, 2022
Anna Maria Cromwell, affectionately known as Pumpkin, was the
beloved daughter of the late Agnes Darden and Leon Savoy. Pumpkin was
born on July 7, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland. God laid her to rest and put an
end to her earthly struggles on April 5, 2022.
Pumpkin lived in Baltimore City and received her education in the
Baltimore City Public School System. She later obtained employment in IT
Repair Services and Housekeeping.
Pumpkin had a big heart! She was kind, she was loving, and she would
give you her last. Her infectious laugh would brighten up a room. If you
invited Pumpkin to your home, she would take special care to clean or tidy it
before she left.
Pumpkin was very friendly and approachable. She never met a stranger
but a friend she had not met yet. Pumpkin was well known and respected;
there was not a place in Baltimore City where someone did not know her
name. Pumpkin prided herself in looking good, having her hair snatched,
having her clothes drip down, and having shoes that were always fresh!
However, Pumpkin did have a reputation of being feisty. She never backed
away from a challenge, and her kindness was not to be taken as a sign of
weakness.
Pumpkin loved the Lord and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
She lived life enjoying time spent with family and friends. Pumpkin met the
love of her life Dwight in 2002. She kept him on his toes for 20 long years.
Equally important to Pumpkin was her cherished love and friendship with
her only child, Tia. Pumpkin was very proud of her daughter's
accomplishments and was likewise proud of the woman Tia had become.
To cherish her memory and celebrate her life, Pumpkin leaves to mourn: her
devoted love Dwight Felton; her daughter Tia Lyles; stepfather Charles
Darden; brother Leon Michael Savory Jr.; godchildren Abdul-Malik
Al-Haqq and Shantel Howard; godmother Maebelle Huff; godsisters Katie
Walker and Sheila Frederick; cousins Charlene, Charles, Patricia and Robert
Cummings; cousins Michelle and Vonzella Jones; cousins Vanetta Murphy,
Cornell St. Rose, Seantaye Thomas and Francis Thompson; cousins Renae
and Ronald Witherspoon; extended nieces, nephews and other family
members; her P.R.P Ms. Teresa; her Glenwood Center family and a host of
friends. Preceding Pumpkin in death are her siblings Darrell and Tracy Savoy.
