IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annie Marie
Davis
October 12, 1961 – February 28, 2021
Annie Marie Davis (lovingly known as Anna) was born in Bronx, NY. on October 12,1961 to Patricia Jean Davis and Lue Foster Davis. Anna received her heavenly wings on February 28, 2021. She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, and one brother Lamont.
Anna grew up in Bronx, New York and was the oldest of five siblings. She was educated in the New York public school system and she graduated from Jamaica High School 2 years earlier due to her dedicated focus in her studies. She continued her academic journey by attending Syracuse University majoring in general studies and receiving her degree. Throughout her life Anna was known for being intelligent, an avid reader, and a mentor, she never overlooked an opportunity to assist in the education of others.
Anna relocated to Maryland with her family in 1979 and adapted to her new environment in a manner that made establishing significant friendships a smooth transition for her. Anna had a very attractive personality; she was a social butterfly and throughout her life she continued to value all those she came in contact with. Anna had an infectious smile that spread sunshine to all who needed a light in their space. Anna worked extensively and employment came quite easily for her. Eventually, she met Carroll (Butch) Davis and the two carried on a romantic relationship that was filled with fun and adventure and Anna became part of Butch's family. From that love was born Anna's first child, Caitlyn.
Although the relationship ended the friendship remained life-long. A few years later she met her longtime love, Alfred Harris, Sr. and the two shared a life that brought them four wonderful children: Taisha, Brittany, Tamrah, and Christopher. She lovingly referred to her 5 children as #TCB Crew and always reminded them to stick together and take care of each other because at the end of the day "We All We Got!"
Anna took joy in attending family gatherings, and spending time with her grandchildren. Often, she would host a "Nana Night" where all of her grandchildren spent the night with her and pretty much did and ate whatever they wanted, which was fine with "Nana" because she was an avid candy lover herself. She had a diverse group of friends whom she loved to get together with and enjoy life.
Anna leaves to cherish her memory: her father Lue Foster-Davis, her siblings Luejeania, Paris, Kevin (Monique), and Victor (Jennifer), her children Caitlyn (Damien), Taisha (Prentis), Brittany (Eric), Tamrah, Christopher and one stepson Alfred Harris, Jr. (Shannon), five grandchildren Reginald (Tre), Pharren, Brooklyn, Kaedyn, and Kaecey, godson, Ira, and very special friends Ricky Tilghman, Butch Davis, and Andrea (Andy) Hilyard. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
