A N NIE P. GR E EN, daughter of the late James and Lula Lemon, was born on September 9, 1931 in Summerton, South Carolina. She departed this life on October 31, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
She received her education in Clarendon County, South Carolina and later continued at Southern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She became employed at American Shade Company in Baltimore, Maryland, several local hospitals and advanced her career by dedicated service to our government and retiring at Baltimore's Veterans Administration Hospital.
She married the former John Theodore Green, Sr., and out of this union four children were born, John, Jerome, Alexander and Neil.
Annie was loved by all who, truly, knew her and always made an effort to touch the lives of others in a positive way. She was a humble and easy going person who often spoke of love and compassion for friends, family and strangers alike. She was a devoted family member who will truly be missed.
She leaves to mourn: four sons, John Theodore Green, [r., Jerome Green, Alexander Green and Neil Green; three daughters-in-law, Gail, Sharon and Phyllis Green; four brothers, John, Warren, Milton and Benjamin Lemon; three sisters, Ida Pearson, Mary Lou Holliday and Josephine Fludd; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Savatha Lemon; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
