Anthony Levi Jones, son of Della Marie Walker and the late Charles Perry, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, January 30,2014 after a brief illness. He was a prayer warrior, steadfast, believed in and was committed to God's will. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Evangeline Jones. This union created three daughters, Antoinette Jones (Demetrius Turner) of Cambridge, MD, Egonya Minus (Quentin) of Pondtown, MD and Rasheeda Sanders (Dahoud) of Baltimore, MD. They had ten grandchildren, Duane Jones, Phillip Jones, Ta'Myra Edmonds, Zhana Jones, Quadira Minus, Saddiq Sanders, Sa'eed Sanders, Andre Sanders, Samir Sanders and Deanna Sanders and one very special great grand- child, Zaidyn Edmonds. He had three sisters, Patsy Hatton (Manathius) of Baltimore, MD, Janice Jones (Linwood Cropper) of Baltimore, MD and Angela Woodrup (Steve) of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He received his education and graduated from Cambridge Senior High School in 1970. After graduation he was employed by Western Publishing Printing Company, working as a Web Press Operator for 28 years. He later moved to Baltimore, where he worked at Diageo Distributing Com- pany prior to his illness. Anthony was a member of Dorchester Elks Lodge #233 I.B.P. O.E. W. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age attending church at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hawkeye, MD. He sang on the Junior Jones choir and was a member of Busy Bees Gospel choir. After moving to Bal- timore he recommitted his life to Christ at Shiloh Christian Community Church in Baltimore, MD. True to personality he actively devoted his life style to serving God. He became a member of the Courtesy Circle and par- ticipated in various activities to strengthen his faith walk continually. Anthony was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He also mentored to the young men in the family about responsibil- ity and commitment to God andfamily. He loved to cook and was famous for his jerk chicken and strawberry surprise, which won him the first place trophy in a Jones Family bake off. Anthony had an engaging personality and made numerous friends everywhere he traveled. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was always a true friend and a de- voted family man.
