Anthony Reginald Samuel, was born on August 21,1959 to the late Alice Lee Samuel and William Hubert Thomason. He departed this life on August 3, 2015. Anthony was affectionately known as "Reg" to his family and friends. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Reg enrolled and received his food service credential from the Job Corp Center in the state of Connecticut. Through-out his career he worked in small, large and fancy restaurants where he prepared exquisite cuisines. During a part of his career he worked side by side with his mother, Ms. Alice and some of his siblings catering. Reg was last employed as a food service manager at University of Maryland Hospital. Reg didn't stop his quest to satisfy folks'appetites, to fulfill his dream and his passion he formed his own catering business;where he worked alongside his family and friends. God was instilled in the Samuel's household by his late Grandmother Rev. Mary Ann Samuel's and his mother. Therefore, Reg gave his life to Christ at an early age. He attended a number of churches throughout his Christian experience. Reg was a long time member of the Baltimore Faith Church of Nazarene. He became a member of Transformation Temple before his departure. He was also an outstanding member of the 12 Step Program where he was able to find his inner peace and help countless others. Reg's first born was Natia Love (Antonyo B. Samuel), his second born, Reginald Antonio Samuelll, and his third born Shaheim Marcus Samuel (deceased) and the love of his life Shavon Cooper (daughter). Reg married Bertha Scipio on September 7, 1991. Through this union Reg became a stepfather to Bertha's five daughters, Sandra Moore (deceased), Charlena Webb,Lula Morris, Janice Scipio and Jackie Sweets, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grand-children. Reg leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Bertha Scipi-Samuel; his first born, Natia Love, his son, Reginald Anthony Samuel; two biological granddaughters, Tamarrie Kaylen Love and Niylah Alexandrea Veira Samuel; five brothers, Lorenzo (Earline)Bates, Rev. Andre (Gwendolyn) Samuel, Rev. Rickey (Janice) Samuel, Kevin (Arlene) Samuel and Darryl (Kimberly) Lawson; two brothers who preceded him in death: William Ronald Samuel and Rodney (Rock) Samuel; four sisters, Felisha Samuel,Debra (Dwayne) Crawford, Janet (Kenneth) Lane and Ronda (Tyrone) Blackwell;sister-in-law, Tierra Samuel wife of the late William Samuel; the mother of his last three children the late Debra Cooper and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A long time dear companion, Patricia Stanely, who was dear and special to Reg for thirteen years, she stayed in weekly communication with him to check on his health. Angela Mack was yet another cherished friend of Reg for two years. It was because of her efforts Reg was able to meet his daily needs.
