IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Antonio
Howard
June 18, 1956 – May 11, 2025
Antonio Purnell Howard born to the late Mary Gibbs and Willie E. Young began his life in Florida. His family migrated to Virginia when Tony was very young and then eventually to Baltimore, MD where he spent the rest of his days. Tony was a loving, but rambunctious child who enjoyed fishing, music, boxing, singing, poetry and art at a young age. Throughout various jobs, he was most prominently known for his contracting work and enjoyed the time working with his nephew Gerald. He loved to work with his hands and felt he could fix, build, or tear down anything with those hands. Those same hands he used to love, hold, and if needed discipline 4 beautiful daughters and son. Tony was a God worshipping man. He never seen himself as more pios than anyone though, and his belief even in the worst of times was a light in the dark for many and his laugh was infectious. Tony "known as Ghost to many" was a community man who protected, fed, and escorted children of the neighborhood back and fourth to school everyday for more than 20 years. Many of those children are now adults who remember him fondly. Although Tony was not legally married, there was no contending that his longtime partner, lover, & friend Diana Jones was his wife. They were together for over 30 years and shared a close and loving relationship until his passing. He spent his later years fishing (which he has passed down to his family), cooking, creating handmade spiritual charms and being wowed by the multitude of grand and great grandchildren that continues his name and legacy. He didn't miss a chance to be there with them in anything. Family, friends, and all far or in between will miss him for all the great things he brought to our life.
