Obituary

April Ingram completed her life journey at the age of 49 unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 23,2015, at Sinai General Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. April was born on April 15, 1966 in Fort Meade, Maryland to the late James Roy and Betty Ingram. She attended Randallstown High School and went on to obtain her certification as a CNA and worked as a private duty nurse, then as an assistant to her mother's Assisted Leaving Care business. Although April loved being a CNA, she eventually had to stop working due to disability. April leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted son, Dominic Dunston, and daughter Betty Hatcher; and two beautiful granddaughters, Jada Leighton and Autumn Spriggs. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Ingram; two brothers, Owens Abrams and David Ingram; and one sister, Kitty French. Leaving to cherish her memory are her sisters, Sherry Latimore-Johnson and Sarah Robinson, her brother, James Ingram Jr; Aunt, Joan Woodley; Nieces, Tracey Ingram, Udoxie French, Kitty French, Tiffany Latimore, Jenieca Nicole Ingram, Natalie Ingram, Guama Abrams, Angelica Ingram, Miranda Robinson; Nephews, James French, Owens E. Abrams, Lafonzo French, Jordon Ingram, Brice Robinson, David Ingram Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends. April loved life, and enjoyed having a good time with friends and the special man in her life, Michael Stokes, whom she adored! April also leaves a special friend, Bonita (Ne Ne) Smith-Billy, who she has known since she was the age of 5. Other friends that were dear to her heart were Clifton Smith and Adrienne Turner. April had a really big heart and family and friends could always depend on her to watch their kids at any time. She had the fun house with the neighborhood pool and the kids were guaranteed to have a great time. If you were troubled and needed a place to stay, she would open her doors even when she herself needed assistance. Growing up, April was truly a daddy's girl and she had a very strong resemblance to her father. At the age of one, she received a very special birthday present, her little sister Sarah who was born on her birthday. For a long time, she could not pronounce her name and gave her little sister a nickname that we still use today: W a W a. April was the cutest little girl with her long pigtails, big eyes, and pretty little fat legs, and everyone loved and spoiled her. Along with being a loving mother and affectionate grandmother, April enjoyed garden- ing. She planted an assortment of things from sunflowers, lily's, green peppers, tomatoes, and herbs. Her favorites were peppermint and parsley. April prided herself in knowing the bible from cover to cover. She was always willing to talk scriptures to anyone who was going through a difficult time and frrmly believed the greatness of God and had an unyielding devotion to his greatness through faith. We are comforted in the fact that we know she is with the Lord. Ironically, the month of "April" is National Donate Life Month. April left the gift of life before she departed through the donation of her organs. Memorial Service Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home Monday, October 05, 2015 01:00 PM Email Details 2140 N.
