Obituary

Arleen Taylor-Norman at the age of 65 years old suddenly

departed this life on March 28, 2021 Palm Sunday. Arleen was born on

May 9, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph Taylor and

the late Gladys Guy Taylor. She was the youngest of 9 siblings

"the baby". Arleen received her education in the public school system

of Baltimore, Maryland. Arleen married the late William Lee Norman

in 1979. From this union one child was born Queenette Norman-

McLaurin affectionately known as "Penny".

Arleen gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at the Church of God

Saints of Christ in Hagerstown, Maryland, which was under the

Leadership of Chief Evangelist Royal Guy who was also one

of her favorite uncles. Peace be unto thee Romans 16:16.

Arleen worked for the Peabody Institute of John's Hopkins University

as an elevator operator for many years. Arleen was also a professional

housekeeper and an assembly factory worker. She enjoyed listening to

music and loved to dance. She was a loving nurturing introvert. One thing

for certain two things for sure, she enjoyed smoking her Newport 100.

Arleen was a person who was always willing to help. She cared deeply for

her family. We the family will miss her smile and laughter and sense of

humor. We will always love you and cherish your memory. Arleen gave us

all such courage, hope and a reminder to us of just how precious life is.

Arleen was preceded in death by her former husband the late William

Norman and her parents Joseph and Gladys Taylor, sister Barbara Bennett

and brother-in-law Fred Bennett and brother Joseph Taylor. May they all

rest in peace.

Arleen touched the lives of so many people. We the family loved her dearly

and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. She is survived by

her one and only daughter Queenette Mclaurin and son in law Glendale
