Arlene Francis Young, daughter of the late Aldosin E. Johnson and Alphonso A. Johnson was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 31, 1954. Arlene departed this life on October 7, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

She received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System. Arlene graduated from Venable Vocational High School in 1972.

After leaving high school she began a career in the healthcare industry. She worked as a nurses aid for several years. She choose working in nursing homes because she loved to work with seniors. After leaving the work force she continued working with the sick and elderly in her neighborhood, volunteering her time. When she wasn't helping others she babysat for others. She loved the children and they loved her. Arlene was loved by many and will be missed by all of us.

Arlene leaves behind to mourn: her two sons, Delroy and David; two sisters, Ethel Taylor and Marshua Odom (Daniel); one brother, Stanley (Karen); aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
