Obituary

Arnold Jones was born on September 26, 1951 to the parents of the late Clarence Oliver Jones, Sr. and Doris Jones. During his childhood he loved to play baseball. Arnold played so well that he became a Junior Oriole and he was a Baltimore Junior bullet in in the 1960's. At an early age age, Arnold began to work and find creative ways to make money. He would shine shoes, deliver newspaper, sell flowers and Christmas cards, and assist in managing a local hotspot called "Pete's Place." Arnold graduated from forest Park Senior High School in June of 1970. during his late teenage years he received his first job at University of Maryland Medical System as a laboratory technician. During this time, he met and courted a young lady named Sandra Elaine Hemsley and within a year and a half they were united in holy matrimony on August 23, 1971. Due to his confident and proficient work habits as a laboratory technician; a chief surgeon introduced, trained and mentored him. this physician helped Arnold step into the career of surgical technology. Arnold became one of the top surgical technicians. He worked at a array of hospitals. Arnold Jones has worked at Mercy Hospital for thirty-four years and Dulaney Eye Institute for fifteen years. He has held both of these full-time positions for over fifteen years and he excelled in his profession. Arnold Jones leaves to mourn;mother, Doris Jones, siblings, Clarence Oliver Jones, Jr., Carolyn Lee Hite, William Thomas Jones, Marion Johnson, Doris Willie and Ron Maker; child, Janay Taylor; son-in-law, Maurice Taylor; grandchildren, Brije' Shaquan Smith and Brielle Renee Taylor; nieces, Lynette Jones, Rita Jones, Sharon Malory, Jacqueline Jones, Melissa Jones, Sherry Boyette, Candice Nicole Willie and Chanell Maker; nephews, Clarence Oliver Jones I, William Edward Jones and Devon Anthony Boyette; and a host of great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Arnold Jones was a hard working, confident, outspoken, diligent and compassionate person. He touched the lives of many and he will truly be missed.
