Born April 9, 1956 in Maryland. Arthur was born to mother, Carrie Eggleston and father, Arthur Redd,Sr. Arthur worked for Social Security Administration for a long period of years until his health caused him to retire. He was a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church. Arthur was one of seven siblings, Raymond Oliver (deceased), Ronald Sampson (deceased) , Theresa Wilson, Barbara Pittman, Gregory Redd, and Lester Williams. Left to mourn is his only son Shawn Redd , born from marriage to Gail Redd. Shawn has two daughters, Kailah Redd and Jordyn Redd. He had a godson, Demetrius Harmon and a large family of cousin's, nieces, nephews, and with an extended family and friends that will mourn in his passing. During his life, Arthur was an outstanding honor and merit student. He graduated from Patterson High School with a certificate in Business Education with honors. He was a Scout Master for the Boys Scouts and honored with Certificates, Plaques, Patches, and many awards in his time of service for them. Arthur also, was an artist with many talents in jewelry making and picture making. He love to take and look at something and turn it into his creation of imagination and display it. He continued as long as he could until he could no longer do his art work anymore. Arthur was sick, but he did not let it take his spirits or change him in any way or form. Arthur had a good life, he traveled, attended outing affairs, attended events and other things that made his life whole and joyful in giving and helping others. He will be truly missed as our brother, father, son, cousin, friend, grandfather, and godfather. We all will miss his spirited and gentle soul. As said, "Earth is not YOW' home, it's a temporary stop along the way.
