ASHANTI OWEN PINKNEY, son of Owen and the late Jean

Pinkney, was born on March 23, 1970 in Manhattan, New York.

The family moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he received his

education in the Baltimore City Public School System.

His employment history included working at Flanigan Construction

with his brother-in-law, the late Arthur Anderson.

Shawn lived his life to the fullest. He loved to draw and he loved

making people laugh.

Shawn had a beautiful personality, and he got along with everyone.

A stranger could walk up to him and you would think they knew

each other for years. Shawn will be sincerely missed by all who

knew him. He was a true and devoted son, father, brother, uncle,

and friend. His smile and laughter will be missed.

On July 15, 2019 Shawn entered life everlasting.

He leaves to celebrate his life: father, Owen; sister, Sabrina; two

sons, Brandon and Ryan; two nephews, Shaquille and Kobe; niece,

Alysha; and a host of other family and friends. His daughter Bria

and brother-in-law Arthur Anderson preceded him in death.

Shawn had one woman in his heart, Michele Ross, and would love

no other.
