Audrey Douglass Anderson, age 83, died peacefully on
January 13, 2019 at home in her apartment at Cherry Hill
Senior Manor, after a long struggle with failing health.
Audrey was born October 29, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland,
the daughter of Thelma Spence and Johnny Fauntleroy.
Audrey thoroughly enjoyed feeding, clothing, and sheltering
the homeless and the less fortunate neighborhood people.
She was known in the neighborhood as "The Frozen Cup
Lady" because everyone would say Miss Audrey had the
best freeze cups in the neighborhood.
Audrey attended Baltimore Junior Academy prior to attend-
ing the Maryland State program known as Vista. After
completion of the Vista program, she began working as an
Office Clerk.
From her youth until her recent death she was always a
faithful Seventh Day Adventist. Prior to her death, she
attended New Beginning SDA Church in Baltimore Mary-
land. In addition, Audrey participated in the Grandparent
program for the Cherry Hill Elementary School system.
Audrey is survived by her three daughters, Erie and her
husband Cedric Bland, Avis and her husband Steve Hinnant,
and Windie Anderson; five sons, Maurice Yarnell Ashes,
Emmanuel Anderson (Jr.), Charles Anderson (Sr.), Reggie
Anderson, and Wayne Spears; eight grandsons: Maurice Jr.,
Cedric Jr., Kenneth Sr., Dennis and Kathy Hill, Michael,
Charles, Tavon A., and Tavon C.; ten granddaughters: Kira,
Leisha, Nikia, Tonya, Waynell, Terika, Shamira, Keyonya,
Paris, Cymone; and a host great grandchildren; and a number
of other relatives and close friends.
