Auretta Collins was born May 3, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland
to the late Roland Adams and Helen Washington. Due to illness
Helen was forced to place Auretta and her siblings up for adoption.
A close neighbor, Sally Garrett or "Granny" as you may have heard,
took Auretta in as her own and raised her to be the woman we
know today.

Auretta received her education in the Baltimore Public School
System.

In her early years she was employed at Spring Grove Hospital.

Auretta loved to dance and listen to old music like Gladys Knight
& the Pips and Teddy Pendergrass. She was also a great cook.
She made Christmas cookies, beef stew and everything in between.
While relaxing she enjoyed watching action films.

Sadly Auretta have fallen ill. She was hospitalized and taken to
Gilcrest Hospice Care. It was there on Thursday, September 20, 2018
where Auretta departed from this life.

Auretta leaves to mourn: three sons, Leroy A. Collins, Brian Darrell
Collins and Charles Clinton Collins; one daughter, Adriene Renee
O'Neal; 23 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. In heaven
Auretta will join her son, William (9-28-1987) and two daughters,
Sharon (11-28-2010) and Deborah (3-16-2012).
