On Friday, June 24, 2016, Barbara Joe Coleman exchanged time for eternity at the Mt.
Pleasant Hospice in Baltimore, Maryland. Barbara was born on Tuesday, April 29, 1941 in
Campbell County, Virginia. She was the oldest child of Ora M. Lewis and the late Royal

baptized and attended Long Mountain Baptist Church. Barbara, affectionately called Babysis

preceded her in death) and from this union, four children were born, Felicia R. Coleman

Gospel Chorus and Men & Women's Day Choir. Later, Barbara attended Good Sheppard
Holiness Church for several years before joining Mt. Pleasant in Baltimore, Maryland as her
home church.

Everyone that Barbara's path crossed knew of her strong love for God and family. She had a
heart of gold and was always willing to go that extra mile to help a loved one, friend or
stranger out. Barbara enjoyed life. She enjoyed going to family gatherings and outings. Bar-
