Barbara Jean Crews, was born on May 1, 1949 in Chester, South Carolina to the late Nancy Elizabeth Dean. She was called home to glory on January 26, 2006 as she slept in her home. Barbara moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1951 with her family. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System where she graduated from Eastern High School in 1967. She went on to work for the Maryland Casualty Insurance Company extending 32 yeasrs of serviceas a computer operator. When the company was outsourced in 1999 by Lanier she was rehired as supervisor of her department where she continued to work until she departed this life, loved and respected by her employees and co-workers. Barbara met William Randolph Crews in 1967 and they maried in 1974. William preceded her in death in 1999. To their union two children were born, Eric Randele and Tia Danielle Selene. In 1987, Barbara joined the Grace Memorial Baptist Church where she worked on a number of ministries in an effort to help build God's kingdom. Barbara, affectionately known as ''Bobbie''to family and friends, was a supportive and devoted mother, nurturing and protective grandmother, and a strong willed, determined, independent woman. Although she gave birth to only two children she became a second mother to many of her children's friends. She was a source of strenght, comfort and wisdom to those that know her. Bobbie leaves to cherished fond memories: one son, Eric, one daughter, Tia; two granddaughters, Lauren and Sydney; two devoted aunts, Eliza Jennings and Betty Tanner; her daughter in law, Jamie Crews; her son-in-law, Marc Diggs; her father-in-law, William B. Crews; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Crews; two sisters-in-law, Katrina C. Watson and Dawn Crews; two brothers-in-law, Efrem and Chris Crews; two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
