Barbara Curley, daughter of the late Harden Robinson and Hester Perkins, was born on March 4, 1940 in Rockingham, North Carolina. she departed this life on September 15, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital aftr a lengthy illness. Barbara was adopted as a young child by Susie Atkins, her grandmother into a loving and caring family. She often talked about her early life on Lexington Street and the many things her grandmother taught her about life. Barbara was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She accepted christ as her Savior at First Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church at a young age. Barbara's life was centered around family and her three sons. Barbara worked in the health care field for many years, retiring in 1984 from Lincoln convalescent center in Baltimore City. She leaves to mourn; three sons, Kevin, Rodney and Renardo; goddaughter, Elmyra Mitchell; grndson, Kevin Jr., adopted brother, Purnell; two adopted sisters, Lizzie Mae and Ella; and a host of nieces, nenphews, other relatives and friends.
