Obituary

Barbara Ann East Cameron, the 7th of 11 children of the late Robert and Sarah East, was born on May 17, 1947 in Evergreen, Alabama of Conecuh County. She was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2005. Barbara moved to Baltimore during her adolescent years to live with her oldest sister, Mary Catherine East Walker. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Shiloh Christian Community Church under the leadership of Pastor George Baynard. She received her education from Baltimore City Public Schools and acquired four years of under-grad college credit hours while working at the Maryland Department of Social Services. While working at the Department of Social Services, she met and married William Cameron Bill. Out of that union she was blessed with a son, Kenneth Cameron Kenny/KC. She eventually retired from Social Services after thirty years of employment in 1998. Barbara was known to be true being a people person. She enjoyed being able to spend time socializing, traveling and bonding with those who knew her as a loyal and concerned person. In addition to her husband and child, she leaves as testaments to her love three sisters-Mary Walker, Betty Hayes and Doris East; one brother- James East, a godmother-Celia cousin, a goddaughter-Karen Blacks a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. She was prceded in her homegoing by five brothers-Robert, Willie, Roosevelt Rudy East, Marvin and Kenny East, a sister-Jenetta Howard, and a special niece-Sherry Ann East .
