Barbara Elizabeth Carter, daughter of the late Clarence Edward Carter and Florence Elizabeth Warren, was born on May 14, 1934 in Olney, Maryland. She departed this life on August 14,2006. At an early age infant, Barbara known best as ''Bobbie'' moved to Baltimore under the loving care of Myrtle mama and James Harris Daddy. She recieved her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. In 1950, Barbara met David Edwards. In 1952, they were united in marriage. From this union nine children were born. Bobbie was loved by everyone who she came in contact with. Her doors and kitchen were always open. She was the person who always had a listening ear, never complaining about anything. She leave to mourn; a loving and devoted husband, David Edwards Sr.; seven daughters, Rosalind Fortune, Shelia Alston, Jean Smith, Jeanette Edwards, Glynese Spicer, Beverly Mango and Teresa Fleming; two sons, David Jr.Dave Crockett and Bryan Edwards; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great -great-gradsons; two sisters, Gloria and Larue; one aunt, Jackie; five sons-in-law; and adopted daughter, Wanda Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are; two grandsons, Joseph Joe-Joe and Dontay; four sisters, Faith Emma, Myrtle and Ruby; and two brothers, James Junior and Clarence.
