Obituary

Barbara Delores Grandy, was born January 2, 1951 to Etta Gerald and Roosevelt Grandy in Baltimore, Maryland. Barbara was called home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2012. She became sick at the age of two years old but on her illness with a strong will to over come them. She entered the School of Chimes where she was rehabilitated and eventually gained employment. Barbara took joy in working at Chimes and valued her time with her co-workers. She was truly a people person. She was always there with a helping hand as she spent much of her time caring for her younger family members. Ms. Grandy never let her mental illness slow her down. She enjoyed listening and dancing to music and would become the life of the party whenever music was played. She loved the Lord and was a member of New Christian Memorial Church before her health began to decline. She brought smiles to faces of everyone who had the chance to meet her. Barbara had the gift of maintaining happiness even when things got tough and the strength to push through adversity. She was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Grand. Ms. Grandy is survived by; her mother, Etta Gerald; father, Roosevelt Grandy; sisters, Dorothy Prayton and Sherry Gerald; brothers, Gary Hall and Waddell Gerald; sister-in-law, Letisha Gerald; nieces, Cynetria Carr and Vermica Gerald; nephew, Gary Hall Jr.,; great nieces and nephews, Brandi Miller, Brandon Miller, Alisha Harvey and Dartanyan car Jr.,; cousins; Laura green and Debra Parker; also surviving are a host of other nephews, nieces, family and friends who she shared a loving bond with. she also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
