God saw you were suffering, that the road was hard to
climb, so he closed your weary eyelids to a world sublime.

God only knows how much we'll miss you, and

your face we cannot touch, yet we have a sweet memory
of you, for we loved you very much.

Barbara Jean Greene, daughter of the late Walter and
Anna James, was born January 16, 1944, in Baltimore,
Maryland.

She graduated from Douglas High School, and pursued a
career as a nurse's aide. She worked at Blue Point Nursing
and Rehabilitation Facility, until she retired in 2014.

On November 27, 1977, Barbara married the love of her
life, Richard. From this union of 41 years, they were
blessed with two children.

Barbara departed this life peacefully and entered into
eternal rest on Wednesday, August 1,2018. She leaves
to cherish her memories; a devoted and loving husband,
Richard; two brothers, Clarence Chase and Bruce Chase;
four grandchildren, Shytiera Greene, Lashae Greene,
Tharmont Lathan, and Damien Williams; two nieces,
Nikki Chase and Makeva Chase; two nephews, Wade
Chase and Derek Chase; eight sisters-in-law, Charlotte
Chase, Shirley Rogers, Edna Lancaster, Mary Daniels all
of MD, Pearlie McCoy of FL, Jacqueline Rose, Frances
Jones, and Linda Greene all of VA; two brothers-in-law,
John Greene of VA, and Carl Daniels of MD; a devoted
friend, Cheryl Simpson; godson, Kariem Gladden; and a
host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Butch Chase;
her son, Lamont Greene; and her daughter, Ametta
Greene.
