IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
Queen
December 17, 1966 – January 18, 2021
Barbara Ann Queen was born on December 17, 1954 to the late Frederick Queen and Irene Queen Spicer in Baltimore, MD. Barbara departed this life suddenly on January 18, 2021. After losing her only son Elliott Lee Nichols it took a toll on her and she didn't want to live without him.
Barbara received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked various jobs throughout her life. Barbara worked for the Light House as a manager for many years before working for Sudsville Laundry until she retired. Barbara loved to attend live concerts at the Fifth Regiment Armory and the Patapsco Arena. She loved to sing Karaoke at Kay's Bar in Westport. Every year she would attend the Stone Soul Picnic with her sister Neicy. Barbara made friends wherever she went. Everyone that knew Barbara called her Queenie. She loved that name so much that when her son brought her a dog she named her Queenie. Barbara loved to sing and out of all the family she was the best but could not dance. She loved to be around her family and would play her favorite song in Barbara bedroom over and over again. Barbara was preceded in death by her only son, Elliott Lee Nichols; her father, Frederick Queen; mother, Irene Queen Spicer (Steven Spicer); sister, Edith Queen; 3 brothers, Dennis, Frederick and Tyrone Queen; 1 niece, Chanika and 2 nephews, Damon and Tyquane.
