Barbara J. Raigns was born June 29, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late James Keeling and Mary C. Keeling. She departed this life on January 30, 2021 at Howard County General Hospital.

Barbara received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from the Medix School in Towson, Maryland where she received her medical training and certification. She worked most of her career in the medical field. Barbara worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 17 years. She worked in security at the Clifton T. Perkins Medical Center. She retired as a Dialysis Technician from the DaVita Downtown Dialysis Center. Also, Barbara loved working as an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay.

Barbara was a very loving mother and grandmother.

She became a Jehovah's Witness many years ago. Barbara was a faithful member, and she enjoyed working in the ministry.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Raigns; her children, Robert McIntosh, Jr. and Regina McIntosh; her grandchildren, Michael Kelly and Charles Hopson; and her sister, Dorothy Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Charlene KeelingMattox (Anthony); her grandchildren, Quinton Grandy (Keontae); Shawn Clinton (Christopher); Kevin Baker, Jr. (Shaquanda); and her sisters, Elizabeth Jeter and Carolyn Moore (Wallace). She also leaves to cherish her memory her great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
